Party Down
Movies cost money. Raising that money is a humbling and often daunting endeavor. At Pound For Pound Productions, we decided to make fundraising as fun as possible for us (and for our potential donors) by throwing a party!
On Thursday, April 2nd we convened at San Francisco's R Bar for strong drinks, loud music and pretty much the best raffle ever held anywhere near the Tenderloin. The list of donated prizes included lift tickets, a round of golf, movie passes, huge bottles of tequila, gift certificates to venerable establishments and even a membership in the San Francisco Film Society!
The response from the public exceeded even our loftiest expectations; R Bar was packed all night and the raffle tickets sold faster than flyswatters at a hog farm. When the dust settled (and the hangovers subsided) we'd raised nearly $4,000 toward KILO's production costs. If you were there, thanks for your support!
